I was recently using UBUNTU but made the switch today to Fedora 11. I am encountering the same problem you described earlier where my wireless sees networks but wont connect to my WPA. Currently I am attempting to change the network adapter to see if that works. Did you expeirence any static on the screen too? Thanks for your research so far... Please post soon.
